This sample application shows how you can serialize map shapes and save them out to XML.

To give it try, first click the Delete button to clear out any existing xml files. Then draw several track shapes on to the blank map canvas, the sample will automatically serialize them to XML files as soon as the track shape is drawn.  Next hit the clear button to remove all of the track shapes that were drawn.  Finally hit the Load button and watch all the track shapes reappear by reloading the map shapes from the XML file.
